Danny McCanney and Christophe Nambotin, second and third, respectively, in E3. In E1, Antoine Basset, who got his best result of the season, finished in second place and his teammate Eemil Pohjola finished fourth.
Danny McCanney was brilliant once again and climbed on to the second step of the E3 podium. After a hesitant start in motocross, the rider from the Isle of Man squeezed the best out of his GasGas EC300 in the enduro test and in the extremes to make a comeback and get his sixth podium of the season.
His teammate at the GasGas Factory Team, Christophe Nambotin, accompanied him in the E3 honours. The French rider, who did not feel at ease during the day, finished third and already has seven podiums this year.
Antoine Basset, second in E1, added another well-deserved podium for GasGas. Basset, who started from the back in the motocross, was able to make a comeback to finish second, his best result of the season.
Also in E1, Eemil Pohjola, finished in fourth position. The young Finnish GasGas rider, who suffered some problems with the chain of his motorcycle, made a wonderful second round in the extreme to finish in second place in his category and sixth overall.
The GasGas Enduro Factory Team riders overcame the high temperatures, the harshness of this unusual one day race and the more than 14 hours of competition with a great result for the brand.
The EnduroGP World Championship takes a deserved break and will return at the end of August (08/31 – 09/02) with the Italian GP, in Edolo.
